The Iranian attack is not impressive militarily, but it perhaps speaks volumes about an overtly hawkish turnaround by Iran.

What turnaround? They have always been both threatening and bellicose towards Israel (and vice versa).

Israel and Iran have been engaged in a bloody rivalry for years, the intensity of which fluctuates depending on the geopolitical situation. Their clash has become one of the main sources of instability in the Middle East.

For Tehran, Israel has no right to exist. Its leaders consider it the "little Satan", ally in the Middle East of the United States, whom they describe as "big Satan", and want them both to disappear from the region.

Israel accuses Iran of financing “terrorist” groups and of carrying out attacks against its interests, motivated by the anti-Semitism of the ayatollahs.

The rivalry between the "sworn enemies" has caused numerous victims, often the result of secret actions for which neither government recognizes responsibility.

I know everything you say.

when I talk about a turnaround, it is because there were certainly diplomatic tensions, but recently, no military or hostile actions.

However, Iran rained down bombs/drones on Israeli territory (which is not insignificant anyway) and also intercepted a boat linked to Israel on the Strait of Hormuz.

I went to check some information... Wikipedia provides pretty good information...

Although the Iran/Israel "war" officially began in 1985, there had been no direct attack on Israeli soil by Iran.

Here is the military summary of the hostilities:
During the 2006 Lebanon War, Iran's Revolutionary Guards reportedly directly aided Hezbollah fighters in their attacks on Israel. Several sources have suggested that hundreds of Revolutionary Guard agents participated in firing rockets into Israel during the war and secured Hezbollah's long-range missiles. Members of the Revolutionary Guards were reportedly seen operating openly in Hezbollah outposts during the war. Additionally, members of the Revolutionary Guards reportedly oversaw Hezbollah's attack on the INS Hanit with a C-802 anti-ship missile. The attack severely damaged the warship and killed four crew members. It is alleged that between six and nine members of the Revolutionary Guards were killed by the Israeli army during the war25. On September 6, 2007, the Israeli Air Force destroyed a suspected nuclear reactor in Syria, killing ten North Koreans.

During and immediately after the Gaza War, the Israeli Air Force, with the assistance of Israeli commandos, reportedly carried out three airstrikes against Iranian weapons smuggled to Hamas via Sudan, as Iran launched an intensive effort to supply weapons to Hamas. and ammunition. Israel has suggested it was behind the attacks. Two truck convoys were destroyed and a ship loaded with weapons was sunk in the Red Sea26.

on the other hand, Israel doesn't give a damn about Iran...
Israeli strikes in Syria

Since 2011, Israel has carried out several hundred attacks against Iranian or pro-Iranian forces stationed in Syria, and against the regular Syrian army34.

So for example on April 20, 2020, the IDF announced that it had bombed Iranian positions: 9 Iranian and/or pro-Iran fighters are killed, in retaliation Iran launches cyberattacks against the Israeli hydraulic system35.

On July 22, 2022, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (OSDH), a raid which destroyed an “Iranian arms depot” killed six people and injured ten; the strikes reportedly “targeted an Air Force intelligence facility and the office of a high-ranking officer.” »34.

In October 2022, Israel carried out several air raids, including one on October 27 on arms depots near Damascus during which 4 pro-Iranian fighters were killed.36.

April 1, 2024 after an airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus in Syria by Israel37, Iran responded on April 13 with Operation Honest Promise, This is the first time that Iran has directly struck Israel38.

This page is also informative

So, there is indeed a hawkish turnaround in Iranian strategy which until now, was content to annoy Israel by helping armed groups or causing some small incidents outside the borders of the Jewish state.

in addition, Ehud Barak, former great statesman of Israel, analyzes the current errors of the Judeocentric regime.

No. Just an intensification, not a turnaround, since they have always been on the same line. : Mrgreen:

Well no, since they were not carrying out an attack on Israeli territory.

It's good Guy, you brought your face back to say something stupid with a useless emoticon. A good record, but by the end of the day, you can do better.

It's done, hence my thoughts. In any case, I like to piss off the little racist, homophobic and misogynistic fascists... who think they think for themselves and who are judge and jury. It's my DNA. : Mrgreen:
