Re: Renovation and aerodynamic improvement of a BPW closed trailer

Nice initiative this Dragonfly! It must be day and night in terms of motorization!
No noise and no stinky smoke from a 2-stroke engine...

A propeller strapping (on a boat) if that can inspire you...

Re: Renovation and aerodynamic improvement of a BPW closed trailer

Aerodynamics imposes significant shapes on vehicles which must then resist side winds, ideal for housing a large battery to stabilize everything!

unfortunately I don't have sufficient aero knowledge to know the optimal config.

Do you know if placing the rotors at the wingtip is favorable or not? I asked myself the question and I don't have a clear answer, it's very multifactorial.

Re: Electric Cars and transport, wire news

I concluded a little quickly... A winged drone would therefore not need an airplane runway... Another VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing) project halfway between the drone and the plane. ..funded in part by Google. The design is good but the name I don't really understand, very close to h...

Re: Electric Cars and transport, wire news

Well no it's called a VTOL (drone)... I meant that a drone with wings will need a runway... The Quirky flying machine will seem to be the solution to take off without a runway but the pilot does not see as well as in an XPeng X2... I can see myself taking off from my home...

Re: Electric Cars and transport, wire news

wow i saw that. It is very energy-intensive, very very energy-intensive. The propulsion in helicopter mode + the weight of the batteries = energy mismanagement. it seems more something to go from one roof to another than a real means of long-distance locomotion. Except that instead of going at 15 km/h on average...

The dream! And if the future of the automobile went through the flying car? From a simple dream, it became reality on Monday in Dubai, where the Chinese manufacturer XPeng made the first public flight of its flying car called X2. S1-xpeng-x2-the-chinese-flying-car-729716.jpg https://ww...
