How to (well) remove blue joint paste?

If it is a water pump, the lip seal which protects the bearing may not be very far .... and does not like acetone or trichlo at all (it curls like an oyster when lemon is added). Don't take this opportunity to boil the pump : Mrgreen:

it is also an advantage of the very thick loctite product: it acts where you put it and does not drip elsewhere

acetone is very fluid so will easily flow anywhere and destroy joints that we want to keep

my preferred solution is the well sharpened wood chisel, which easily cuts in the joint to be removed and which must be handled carefully so as not to cut into the aluminum
