My insert does not have a combustion station. He is a deville who is 30 years old. But they did not make such bad machines at the time, by cons I saw the gasket of the glass (this is where it makes a good part of the draft by the air gap which is supposed to protect the glass soot).

And a forced air heating is I think much more effective if like me we have a phase shift of 3-4 degrees per hour, in cold weather on the 1st floor.
By cons I barely 1 ° per hour on the ground floor.

Knowing that between the ground floor and the 1st there is no insulation either; (it's plaster ceiling then direct the parquet of the 1st). So the heat is barred by the roof in a phenomenal way, it is for this also that I have good hope of drastically reducing the consumption of my boiler after the roof insulation.
