About me, (I know we don't really care...), I'm not anti-nuclear at all (provided it's installed and maintained).
it is not the fact of being pro or anti nuclear, in itself, but the concern of the populations relates to the dangerous waste independently of the power stations which can become Fukushima or Chernobyl, without forgetting the bottom of the problem which is cue these power stations were founded FOR the nuclear bomb, the recovery of heat, as thermal waste, became only the pretext justifying the continuity of their existence. It'sHhistory!

Yeah yeah, that's Izentrop, and it was with the denial of the problems that Chernobyl and Fukushima arrived!

Definitely you make strikes of this... Endless

A sort of announced "merger" of ASN, IRSN, CEA and DSND.

"Nuclear continues in the world"

Not sure he will continue for a long time in France this summer...

A drought that has been lasting and getting worse from month to month (even in winter) for more than half a year...with large rainfall deficits, will the rivers still be able to cool the power stations?!?

the plants will be at reduced power, and/or will have derogations on the temperature of the water discharged.

like last summer.

No problem, it's winter that they need to run at full speed, and then it's still a non-issue that arises for any thermal power station, not just nuclear ones.

here for once the izmentor does not say which bullshit.
With the exception that thermal power plants do not leave toxic waste over thousands, millions of years that will also have to be cooled at great expense. Overall disastrous balance sheet!
Plants on the banks of rivers are equipped with cooling towers
by evaporation of water, so water is needed...which can be lacking, which is why water discharges into rivers are also restricted to temperature limits so as not to upset the flora and fauna aquatic. Big clumsy!
In all cases: no water or less water = reduction or stoppage of production.
