Insult and slander are part of the panoply of far-right propaganda, as is the harassment of people and the suffocation of their words by flooding. Here it is incessant.
The slander targets both contributors to this forum, that the defamation of the cited scientists when they do not blow in the desired direction.

The subjects of this forum are not ecology or health, but their instrumentalisation including global warming, by some activists against the governments in place. The more the elections approach, the more we see these virulent bigots against Macron and against those here too moderate in relation to the power in place.
Are these hidden bigots fans of Marine Le Pen or Florian Philippot, the future will undoubtedly tell.

I do not know if the extreme right has drowned this forum or if it emanates from the editorial line, but this extreme right is starting to be heavy.

Considering the time he spends trying to piss off the ruling power, this last quote seems like a half-word admission that he is an infamous fascist who thinks he is telling the truth. But have we ever seen the truth coming from the fascists ?!

in 1944 Professor Tournesol was already 78 years old. Today he has almost doubled his age.

do not forget that Raoult, in his time, also expressed doubts about the climate catastrophe.

And Raoult, all the same, it is .... well it is Raoult what! 8)

Is there a better understanding of climate change since the IPCC started? What does his latest report tell us? What are the possible future climates? How do climate models work?
the publication last August of the first part of the IPCC report on climate change affirmed the “unequivocal” role of human activities on global warming. If this statement had the most impact, it is important to also mention the other conclusions reached by the 233 experts and to explain to you the methods as well as the models at work behind this type of colossal synthesis.

And to talk about this latest IPCC report, we are pleased to welcome today Sophie Szopa, research director at CEA, atmospheric chemist at the Laboratory of Climate and Environmental Sciences (LSCE) at the Paris Saclay University and co-coordinator of one of the chapters of the last IPCC report. With us also Robert Vautard, CNRS research director, director of the Pierre Simon Laplace Institute and also co-coordinator of one of the chapters of the IPCC report. https://www.franceculture.fr/emissions/ ... embre-2021

Re: The latest figures (CO2 counts for butter)

The following publication assesses the climate sensitivity of water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane and nitrogen oxide directly from their absorption in the infrared domain based on the HITRAN code, and assesses the impact of these greenhouse gases on terrestrial temperatures.
http://www.ijaos.org/article/298/10.116 ... 0210502.12

"It is widely accepted that the two main greenhouse gases in the atmosphere are H2O and CO2. What is surprising is the wide variation in the estimated warming potential of CO2, the gas held responsible for the modern concept of climate change. The estimates published by the IPCC concerning the sensitivity of the climate to a doubling of the CO2 concentration vary from 1,5 to 4,5 ° C, based on a plethora of scientific papers attempting to analyze the complexities of atmospheric thermodynamics to determine their results.

The objective of this article is to simplify the method for obtaining a climate sensitivity figure not only for CO2, but also for CH4 and N2O, which are also considered to be strong greenhouse gases, by determining how atmospheric absorption caused the current warming of 33K, then extrapolating this result to calculate the expected warming due to future increases in greenhouse gas concentrations. The HITRAN Gas Absorption Spectra Database accurately determines the absorption of Earth's radiation at its current temperature of 288K for each individual atmospheric component as well as for the combined absorption of the atmosphere as a whole.

These data lead to the conclusion that H2O is responsible for 29,4K of the 33K warming, with CO2 contributing 3,3K. and CH4 and N2O combined for only 0,3K. The sensitivity of the climate to future increases in CO2 concentration is calculated at 0,50K, including the positive feedback effects of H2O, while the climate sensitivities to CH4 and N2O are almost undetectable at 0,06K and 0,08, XNUMXK respectively. This result strongly suggests that increasing CO2 levels will not cause significant changes in Earth's temperature and that increases in CH4 and N2O will have very little noticeable impact..

Not bad the analogy "good restitution of the new year" and fight for the climate.
