With the adhesive roll, do you intend to manufacture what type of cooker?

Excuse me, I've just arrived, and I'm just interested in solar cookers.

I am a maternal assistant, just like my husband and we are daily between 4 and 10 at the table, understand that the first power consumption station turns out to be the cook !!!

suddenly, we ask ourselves many questions given the number of models of solar ovens that we could see!

1 in Alsace would it be wiser to isolate the solar oven with 2 walls?

2 can we use real mirrors inside the oven (model trunk inspired by that of jonule) or a black painting is more judicious)

3 what exactly are reflectors on a solar oven type chest, and how the orients them (some direct them towards the sun, other towards the chest)

Personally, I made a parabolic and I am very disappointed
On a sunny day and well after 5h it was not very cooked. The potatoes have blackened, not very appetizing.

Hello,
two sites that are best for my taste.
the first inspired the second, I hope he will not mind me to advertise them.
As far as I'm concerned, I'm doing a box oven style, as the first two parabolic and open were disappointing.
Too much wind and the slightest cloud spoils the test.

Hello and welcome Hasardine.

Here are some more questions:

Must the oven be fixed or mobile?

If fixed, can you integrate the oven at home?

Maybe you could go to an oven that also combines the function of the Norwegian cooking pot?

So, maybe you could take advantage of it both in summer and in winter?

And last but not least: Do you use solar heating?

To have ...

Hi chance!
the insulation must be sufficient: if the body of the solar oven becomes "too" hot after use, it is poorly insulated: the heat leaves ...
yes you can use real mirrors, but you can also order on itnernet of the mirror soft adhesive, very practical ;-)
the only body that needs to heat up in a solar oven is the black, metallic bodies so much to do. the mirrors do not heat up.

the reflectors are used to return + more heat on the target element: the black body (the potty what): it is necessary to direct the sunlight on it, using the reflectors.

and good cooking!
for my part I built this one:

at fthanron

my oven must be mobile because I am renting and I can not integrate it at home!

I also need it to be big enough (10 at the table) so I will make a kind of oven 2 compartments

for the rest, thank you to jonule, I will base myself on your plans.
