If the EDF engineers did a little more research they would stop saying that nuclear is the only solution when they know perfectly well that it is not true, but try in vain to orient public opinion to obtain financing. If it is not a deception what is it?

They don't say it's the only solution. It is not the only but the best, in the current state of our knowledge and our economic means.

No it is not true, nuclear power is not the best solution to fight against global warming. It is more expensive.

More expensive than what? In countries where we do not have one (Germany, Australia ...), electricity is considerably more expensive than in France. The reality is that nuclear provides cheaper energy. I am talking about solutions that have proven themselves and can be used everywhere, no assumptions or special cases (hydroelectric for example).

Yes, because of the sale at a loss * and the compensation by indirect taxes which keep a moribund ** business afloat **, almost ruined which roughly loses 100 customers per month!

Yes, because of the sale at a loss ...

USA: 99 nuclear reactors (25% of the operating power in the world).
China: 46 nuclear reactors, fleet increasing.
Russia: 35 nuclear reactors

And as everyone knows, the USA, China and Russia are philanthropic countries, their companies or public services sell at a loss. : Lol:

Price in the USA: less than 6 euro cents per KWH in some states and more than 10 in others.
Germany: 23,3 euro cents, hello wind turbines.

Nothing to beat of these figures we talk about EDF, AREVA which are in near ruin. You deny the obvious, the reports of the Court of Accounts, the balance sheets, the investigations and the rest. You're just a fundamentalist.

No, the USA (yes!), China and Russia are countries where electricity prices are very strongly regulated, as in France. The mechanisms are different, but in the end it comes down to the same thing, "historical" producers have just enough to keep their noses 2 or 3 cm above the water level.

But Guygadebois would certainly be one of the first to yell if suddenly he was asked to pay 3% more on his bill (around 5 € / MWh) so that nuclear power is no longer sold "at a loss"!

We will see, the debate starts just with the end of the ARENH or rather the generalized ARENH.

I already pay much more than what my invoice indicates ... So 3% declared more, I do not care royally. Anyway, in 1 month they come to ask me a Linky and EDF will be seen, I will change supplier .... but I will continue to help keep it afloat bottomless thanks to taxes.

Ah, sorry ... But as you told us a few weeks ago that your income was only € 500 / month (rent), I could hardly imagine that you were taxable ....
Taxing people with such low incomes is truly a scandal!
