Pollution of gaseous effluents by plasma by CNRS et GREMI

Introduction

The control and treatment of gaseous emissions by plasmas at room temperature, called non-thermal ones, is attracting increasing interest for the depollution.

Results obtained with these plasmas made by means of different types of electric discharges are presented here. The different pollution control processes are compared in terms of energy cost and pollutant conversion rate. They illustrate issues raised in basic research and issues related to technology transfer.
