ROTEX Sanicube, a hygienic and innovative sanitary hot water storage tank
Summary and principle.
The ROTEX Sanicube allows physical separation between drinking water and storage water (thermal buffer) via an “instant heat” exchanger.
The ROTEX Sanicube is the combination of a hot water accumulator and an instantaneous water heater.
The actual heat is not stored in drinking water (as in a conventional DHW tank) but in the storage water which is physically separated by a heat exchanger.
The volume of drinking water is relatively low: 19 to 80 liters depending on the type of tank. The total volume of accumulation is 300 to 500 liters. The amount of heat that can be accumulated and withdrawn depends on it.
The first time the tank is filled, the tank is filled only once. This storage water is only used for heat storage, it is neither changed nor used. It is a volume called "dead water".
