A century after E = mc2 Electrodynamics O (3) inaugurates the Zero Point Era. By Marc HERMANS, December 2001.
A group of physicists recently proposed an extended version of Maxwell's classical electromagnetics under the name Electrodynamics O (3).
This new version of electrodynamics not only allows us to understand some previously unexplained phenomena of nonlinear optics, but also suggests the possibility of a real vacuum engineering: the direct extraction of energy from the vacuum and the manipulation of gravitation and inertia become technological possibilities within our reach.
This model, using the formalism of quaternions (dear to Maxwell), is also presented as a subset of a unified field theory developed in recent years by Mendel Sachs from the development of the space-time tensor of the general relativity of Einstein.
