Documentary: the battle of Chernobyl (Passed in silence)

The Chernobyl battle

Documentary on the management of the Chernobyl disaster in the “Passé sous silence” series broadcast on France Television in 2006.

April 6 1986, 01h23 morning.

A rainbow-colored flame 1000 meters high rises in the Ukrainian sky. The fourth reactor of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant has just exploded. The most serious nuclear accident in history has just occurred. 500.000 civilians and soldiers will fight for several months against the dispersion of radioactivity. We will call them the “liquidators”. When the sarcophagus covering the reactor is finally finished, these men will return home irradiated for life and totally forgotten by the government. 21 years later the international lie about radioactive fallout is still stubborn.
