Control and treatment of waste gases by plasma at room temperature, called non-thermal, is growing interest for the cleanup.
Results obtained with these plasmas made using different types of electrical discharges are presented here. The various decontamination processes are compared in terms of energy cost and of the pollutant conversion rate. They illustrate the issues in basic research and issues related to technology transfer.
