Global warming: second heat record on Earth 2005

The average temperature of the Earth 2005 reached its second highest level in the space of a century because of global warming induced by increased greenhouse gases, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency.

In 2005 the average global temperature was higher than 0,32 degree Celsius above the average recorded between 1971 and 2000, the Meteorological Agency said in a statement. This is the second warmest on record since 1891 behind that of 1998 (0,66 degree Celsius above average). This trend of rising temperatures since the mid exists 80 years, noted the agency. (GFR)
