Warming: a weapon of mass destruction

"In human history, there has never been a greater danger than climate change." Does the sentence, launched by Jean-Guy Vaillancourt, professor of sociology at the University of Montreal, make you jump? You will have to get used to it, it will soon be commonplace.

As global warming is now the subject of scientific and political consensus, the international community is gradually becoming aware of the extent of the problem which awaits the next generations. While there are many uncertainties about the long-term effects of global warming, the data on the current disruption are numerous, solid… and worrying.

There is no longer any doubt that man has a perceptible influence on the global climate.
