BlueCar, Peugeot iOn, Citroën C-Zero, Mitsubishi iMiev, Renault ZE Zoé, Renault Fluence, Renault Twizy, Nissan Leaf, Honda Fit ...
Almost all manufacturers are surfing the trend of electric motorization (generally developed with great blows of state or other subsidies ... but that is not the debate).
But is it really a fad?
Today, it seems that a new step has been taken. We are no longer in a “prototype for auto show” logic: real commercial offers are already and will quickly be on the French market (and others) by the end of 2011.
The commercial strategy of the manufacturers is generally to sell a "motorized chassis" and to rent the batteries on contracts of 1, 2 or 3 years.
To see more clearly, we made a small listing electric cars which are or will be available in France. Listing details the technology, prices and commercial offers and marketing date for each model. With some illustrations for each model and videos.
The Renault Twizy is probably the most innovative vehicle to get out; its use will, by design, almost exclusively urban but its price is still indeterminate (but it will most likely between 10 and 15 000 €).

The question deserves to be asked (and it was in this topic)!
Another recent documentary film is reassuring on this issue, just by its title: The Revenge of the Electric Car (Revenge of the Electric Car)
So 2011, the year of commercial take-off or of a new failure for “the” electric car? Today, it is difficult to decide!
To be continued, in a few months ...
Hoping that consumers, that we are all, are not too demanding and that the prices of cars are made acceptable by manufacturers ...
