Water quality in France does not meet European objectives

The 2000 European Framework Directive requires Member States to obtain an ecological and chemical "good state" of water by 2015.
However, this objective will be impossible to hold in France according to a report on the water quality of the National Museum of Natural History (MNHN) made public June 6 and directed under the direction of Jean-Claude Lefeuvre, professor emeritus at the Museum , and chairman of the WWF Scientific Committee.
