Placing on the market of the rotor H

Based on an invention by MM. Friedrich Zastrow and Heiko Schier from the Institute of Electrical Engineering and Automation (IAE) of the Higher Technical School (FH) Bremerhaven, a cooperation has been set up with the company "BG - engineering Braun & Gorke GbR "from Bremerhaven for the development of the" H "Rotor.

InnoWi GmbH, for its part, assisted the FH Bremerhaven in the patent application and in the development of cooperation with the company BG. The cooperation contract was provided with a concrete license agreement which provides, in addition to the subsequent development of the rotor, a prototyping phase and then market introduction. Research on the H-rotor (H-rotor) has been carried out at the FH Bremerhaven for more than ten years.

Contrary to the usual wind installations, the blades of the H rotor are arranged vertically and connected to a vertical axis, the rotation is therefore independent of the direction of the wind. The installation thus appears as an "H", hence the name "H-Rotor".

The new H-rotor profile has been aerodynamically designed to achieve better use even in light winds. In addition, an intelligent generator ensures that significant rotor power is maintained in critical wind phases.

The advantages of the H-rotor over traditional wind turbines are low construction costs, low maintenance costs, long life as well as optimum low-speed performance. In addition, the H-rotor is virtually silent and also works underwater. It can be used in small wind power plants by
example on boats.
