Who am I ?

My name is Christophe Martz, in 2005 27 years and I have come from Strasbourg.

I am a graduate engineer ENSAIS (National School of Arts and Industries of Strasbourg) 2001 promotion and I realized, to my graduation, a Study Final Project (PFE), the Pantone process .

In 2003, I created the site (I shall return later to the creation of this site).

The origin of the final project study on the Pantone process (October 2000 2001 January)

The last year in engineering school is divided into two periods: the first quarter where traditional courses are taught and the last 2 reserved Project Graduation (which is most often performed in the company). During the first quarter, we must achieve a technological research project (PRT), the PRT can be considered a micro PFE and may or may not have a direct link with the PFE. Thus some PRTs are neither more nor less than the pre-study of a PFE.

I specify all this because my choice of PFE is precisely my came following a PRT.

Indeed, the subject of my PRT was to tour the energies "new" and organizational solutions to decongest air traffic and urban areas (the study is available in full on this page.: study on transport and energy for the city).

During this study, one of my guardian teacher, physics teacher, gave me a video report, which I think is the cause of everything that follows.

This report talked about zero point energy, and featured Stanley Meyer (shortly before his "official" disappearance). You can see this report on this page: report on the vacuum energy at absolute zero.

Very intrigued by this story, I decided to learn more about Stanley Meyer, this is how I discovered the Quanthomme with the Water Fuel Cell (WFC). Quickly, I had the idea to make my final project study on WFC. Unfortunately before the blur information he discovers on the Internet and in patents, my teachers and I learned quickly that it was not reasonable to do an EFP on the subject. We would be too soon faced too many uncertainties and unknowns. But there was another invention presented on the site Quanthomme: that of the Pantone process.

Indeed, the invention of Pantone seemed quite intriguing and above all accessible enough to make it possible to realize a project of end of studies on the subject. I would therefore propose a subject characterization Pantone conducted my tutors teachers (whom I thank in passing). These quickly gave me the green light: the Pantone / Martz project was born! A grant from ANVAR was performed and was accepted.

The course of the CTB on the Pantone process (January 2001 2001 October)

The initial term of the project was 5 months it took me over 8 months to overcome the minimum acceptable for obtaining an engineering degree. But regardless, my project fascinated me, some measures were very promising.

But then, contrary to what one might think, an engineering school is not the place to do applied research: resources are lacking, the staff is not always available but most measures of material and investigation are sorely lacking. For example, I can achieve the full realization of the test bench (photos in the report): Plans, cutting crude pointing setting primer for painting ... .seules welds were performed by the laboratory technician. After my teachers accused me of not advancing fast enough purely scientific part. Another example, we had to move the test bench with the family car into a center of technical control to perform the clean-up measures. Seeing that this was not serious to work properly, we had to go for a gas analyzer 200 km! Thank about that the technician who donated his time weekend for this task. These material difficulties partly explain the increase in the duration of the project. But that was only the beginning of trouble.

Post-Diploma season (October 2001 2002 February)

Graduated in October 2001 (after a defense in front of an audience of over 40 people rather exceptional thing for a PFE), and sensing the potential of the process as shown by the results in my report, I decided to go alone and perhaps rather naively, in a "race" to aid and research grants.
The first weeks after I left the school, my diary was full almost every day: Living, City of Strasbourg, ADEME, ANVAR, DRIRE, INRETS ... as well as many schools, research centers and public institutions were contacted. Similarly I have also had some contacts in Germany. But after a few weeks of this rat race, I noted with some disappointment that it would be much harder than I imagined. Certainly I did, and I'm still not a great negotiator or diplomat but all the same!

Redundant excuses were mainly the following:

  • the patent is not in your name,
  • we do not help individuals,
  • no public institution supports you ...

Based on these facts, I remained open to any proposal but I received no from these organizations. I think one of the most blatant reactions in this way was that of ADEME, simply ignoring my requettes but not forgetting to raise issues to the national level ...

I also returned to see the ENSAIS to offer a suite in PFE for mounting on boiler process. This after having seen the assembly "boiler" Mr David transparent flame burning domestic fuel. My ex-teacher tutor, specialist combustion engine, a former engineer at Renault, was apparently firmly resolved not to hear from me (or process?). His argument: "You know: the fuel is losing momentum compared to gas boilers. ". Ahem ... End of trading.

Such defiance in ambient total hypocrisy is pretty hard to take. Everyone said that my project was very interesting but nobody gave me the means to go further would it an opportunity or a hope! Pollution, in the broad sense, is not a public health problem? Indeed, I remind the reader who does not know by my findings that the method enables a reduction 90% of certain pollutants, this after a few seconds of operation. These environmental remediation results on this page or in the Report PFE.

This in contrast to not only ineffective cold catalytic converters, but in addition to increasing consumption, pose environmental problems during their life cycle, not to mention the heavy metal oxides and cost, econological, manufacture and recycling .

Faced with such obstacles, I decided, 2002 beginning to see Mr Pantone USA, indeed; can be a paper signed by him would be able to unlock things and maybe he was going to offer me a position of responsibility? The reality is unfortunately quite different ...
