Geneva Motor Show, the green car, a commercial argument?

The so-called "green" cars seem to be the stars of the Geneva Motor Show which will open its doors to the public next Thursday.

Once again the “green” trend is in fashion but this is especially true in the media and trade fair stands, on the road, still too few so-called “clean” cars are circulating… In fact the name “less dirty” »Would be fairer but so much less saleswoman…

The automakers will be presenting their new models in an economic context, but rather gloomy.

At the level of 2 major French manufacturers:
- Renault presents its new Koleos 4X4-SUV, the Clio Sport (here are 2 fine examples of “green” cars) and the Sandero, a five-door version of the Logan Dacia.
- PSA Peugeot Citroën presents the new 308 SW and the C5 Tourer.

Towards smaller and more economical vehicles?

Small-sized vehicles are numerous at the Geneva Motor Show: their more attractive price (linked to the drop in “purchasing power”) and their reduced CO2 emissions are the two main arguments. Especially since politicians are currently launching actions and campaigns to "promote" vehicles emitting less CO2 ... pushed by the European Union which wants to reduce CO2 emissions from 2 to 160g / km for new vehicles.
