The government attacks the trash of French: the Ecology Minister Nelly Olin Monday launched a communication campaign to stem the mountain of garbage, up 1% per year.

Each French produced an average 1 kg waste per day or 360 kg annually, only 12 6% is recycled and composted%. Despite sorting, 80% of the waste still going to landfill or incinerated without further treatment.

Now, the processing capabilities are in saturation and the commissioning of new plants or landfills comes up against the opposition of the people.

To break the deadlock, Ms. Olin intends to "involve the French". Clearly, buy better and throw less.

The Minister shall aim to spend the amount of waste landfilled or incinerated 290 kg per capita per year 250 kg in 5 years 200 10 kg in years.
