Keywords: European directive, law, biofuels, energy, taxes, Europe

Here are the texts of the European directives defining the use of biofuels in Europe and France:

- Directive 2003/30 of May 8, 2003 aimed at promoting the use of biofuels or other renewable fuels in transport. Click here to download.

It is this directive, favorable to the development of HVB, which outlaws France with its article of the customs code 265-ter although it has recently been slightly modified. See : biofuels and customs code.

- Directive 2003/96 of October 27, 2003 restructuring the community framework for the taxation of energy products and electricity.

On the other hand, this document does not mention Crude Vegetable Oils in any way, being content to speak of methyl esters of vegetable oil (in other words: Diester).

- Bulletin of the French customs code of January 2005 entitled: "Articles of the customs code relating to petroleum products and the general tax on polluting activities"
