faking

ou

Combustible gases dissolved in water appearing as a result of electrolysis (for example H2O -> 1/2 O2 + H2), electrolysis caused by electric cells immersed in water.

+1 Remundo

Electrolysis = Gas = flames

what is surprising is that it burns so long ... :?

It is a flammable liquid that looks like water ...
Assuming, which I doubt, that two batteries can electrolyze water to produce sufficient quantities of H2, it would have quickly diffused into the ambient air and would in no case have accumulated in the glass ...

What is certain is that with a little H2O2 in a flammable liquid, the flame would be more beautiful ... if it does not explode spontaneously before. H202 is a good oxidizer but does not burn.

Of course there is a trick, because the result of an electrolysis is more "explosive" than that : Cheesy:

From the color of the flame, I would say it is alcohol.

Me too, but it doesn't burn strong enough, unless it's lukewarm water with a little alcohol in it ... :?

That's what I think too. And then hydrogen is lighter than air (finally less dense, before Chrsitophe takes me back on the terms - as on the units! Rightly so). So it wouldn't build up ... It looks like burning alcohol ...

The most amazing thing in this story, it's the fantasy of making water a fuel, whereas it is precisely the waste product from the oxidation of H. And that is exactly why there is plenty of land ... You imagine the oceans full of liquid gas, with thunderstorms ???

AND it works - almost - every time !!!

Burning water and perpetual movement ...

Like what, esotericism still has a bright future ahead of it ...
