Recovery rainwater - overflow tank concrete drainage

by musset » 31/08/08, 12:49

Hello, I'm building a 25 m3 rainwater recovery tank at the same time. I intended to fill the vacuum around the tank (about 1 m of space around the tank) with limestone and empty the overflow of the tank in this limestone. Is there a risk of the tank rising?
Thank you for your help.

to be solid a tank must lean on a stable ground: it does not seem a bad idea to pass the overflow water around the tank

why be afraid that it will go up the tank: in general the overflow overflows when the tank is full

The idea is good but is it not too close to other buildings?
It would be a shame if this tank caused backflow problems.
humidity in the walls.
As much as if it should overflow it will be in winter or early in spring.
Maybe it is desirable to provide a drainage below
to drain any excess water.
In any case, this is the solution I adopted, but to be frank
it is extremely rare that the tank overflows. This only happens in
winter or when autumn is particularly rainy.

I also collect rainwater 8) but not yet enough : Evil: . But collecting rainwater doesn't appeal to everyone, for example at Véolia Eau (formerly Lyonnaise des Eaux I believe). I recently came across an article from Les Echos where the technical director of Véolia Eau declares that "it's basically absurd"and he threatens us with an increase staggering if we continue! He is not at all happy the gentleman : Lol: ! We are warned! I scanned the article:

Same concern with a different distributor in my sector.
Being financially limited I do not have the means to support
neither the local economy nor the lifestyle of the shareholders of this
societe.C is why I went into autarky mode and do not
not bother for them. I went from 300 m³ to 110 in
2 years old and seriously considering going to the bathroom
dry by spring to further reduce the water we
consume.
I am also studying the possibility of recycling used water but
it requires more investment and you have to see what
it will cost in electricity (pumps + aerators).
al etude but the objective is there: cut in expenses
as much as possible.
It's stupid to say but now the economy is starting to
rhyme with ecology.
From wood heating to rainwater, to the little ones
breeding and planting fruit trees, not to mention
the vegetable garden. All this while spending a minimum of money
and therefore of energy it ends up making very ecological even if it
is not the goal at the start.

if uae companies want to discuss the main principle can do so

and my conclusion is opposite of theirs!

the water supply is absurd for slightly insulated buildings with sufficient roof surfaces

as the prices increase, there will be more people in the countryside to make their drinking water, and it will leave more water for the cities or there is not necessarily enough water from rain for everyone

good use of rainwater will therefore avoid investment or waste in public water

I understand that it does not please them, but who is in charge?
