Water Pump

by oli 80 » 13/04/09, 21:34

good evening, here is a rather unusual pump you have already seen all pumps powered by a water mill and well here is a type of submersible pump which works thanks to the current of a river river or stream http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oCt-EHQQvs the video is pretty self explanatory, there is even a link on their official website http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_p9viHDU ... re=related

I also found a rather surprising handcrafted pump, it is capable of conveying water over a long distance, but what surprises me is the absence of air bell http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FG18tDWL ... re=related

because on this valdes pump model there is an air bell http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcqedxGv ... re=related

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlNWIo_z ... re=related

it is this type of pump which one finds in the Latin American country on the other hand I wonder in what matter is the piston of the Moldavian artisanal pump

Nile novo sub sole! Remember Marly's machine and its inventor, a Belgian, a certain Renequin Sualem, from Flemalle, near Liège!
(for the record, these are the gigantic devices powered by a paddle wheel that supplied the fountains in the gardens of Versailles)

hello, I saw this diagram already while searching on google, as I understood this site allows people to offer their inventions on the net, in fact the one who made the diagram of this pump is looking for an entrepreneur who buys his patent to build the pump, if it works why not, what concerns the moldovan video pump I wonder how it gets so much pressure, without air bell

This pump looks like an arm pump in principle but the flow should therefore be jerky, we can therefore assume that downstream of the pumping there is a check valve and a storage vessel, the small diameter of the pipe naturally creating the overpressure.

Am i clear i doubt it myself :? : Mrgreen:

pump pressure

by oli 80 » 15/04/09, 21:34

good evening, the explanation you gave is clear, it is true, the diameter of the pipes also plays a role for the pressure, there must also be some kind of expansion vessel for the pressure, the piston must be in rubber, its flexibility must also play a role with pressure

Hello
I’ve seen this several times
the small diameter of the pipe naturally creating overpressure.

little reminder: the diameter of a pipe changes the flow rate but absolutely not the pressure. : Cry:

Well, this is not entirely true: a smaller diameter changes the pressure well in the sense that it lowers the pressure during the flow (friction) !!

It is called a singular pressure drop (point reduction) and / or linear (relative to the pipe distance)

But in any case lowering the diameter does not increase the outlet pressure of the hose!

hello Christhophe
it is true I neglected the pressure drops and the atmospheric pressure
and as you say it can lower the pressure but not increase it naturally.

pressure gauge on the pump

by oli 80 » 18/04/09, 12:23

hello, I did not watch out for something, the video of the Moldavian pump, we see a pressure gauge on a T-pipe there may be an expansion vessel or an air bell on this pipe we can clearly see the black suction tuayu and the slightly transparent white discharge pipe, it is the air bell or bladder vase or membrane which causes the pressure
