The Horizeo project, which is to be established in Saucats, and for which a public inquiry has just started, is presented as “Horizeo, creation of a renewable energy platform”. HORIZEO is announced as an ambitious, innovative and responsible multi-energy project that combines the production, storage and consumption of exclusively renewable energies on a single site.
So a very nice project… on paper. But as with what is innovative and so attractive in appearance, it leads to quite a few questions. The files provided by the project owner provide a certain number of answers which are more window dressing and manipulation than the description of a project which is of environmental and economic interest.https://www.sauvonsleclimat.org/fr/base ... s-reponses
- 1 ha of felled pines
- an annual production that is not displayed because it will be ridiculous in view of the deforested area
- panels purchased in China, panel supports and electrical equipment purchased from the highest bidder probably outside Europe:
- only the mesh of the fences will be European
- a storage capacity that will have a microscopic contribution to the stability of the network
- batteries whose origin is not mentioned not to say that they will be Chinese, Japanese or Korean
- a 1 MW solar park with its storage which is incapable of ensuring on its own the continuous supply of the site's installations with a capacity of 000 MW
- the carbon footprint of the operation which is not displayed because it will necessarily be negative
- and many other very smoky points.
