Solar panels and agriculture? Agrovoltaics explained

Solar panels and agriculture? Agrovoltaics explained. Could the combination of solar panels and agriculture be a viable solution to the growing demand for food and energy production? Let's take a closer look at the electrification of our crops (not literally the electrification of crops)… well, adding solar power to our farmland and some of the side benefits and challenges that this creates. Looking at a 28-year-old nuclear waste battery?

personal: subtitles translated into French and speed 0.75, it sometimes goes a little fast for me : Wink:

It's a very good counter argument to lobbyists to those who argue that the PV will eat up farmland ...

To locate, I had a PV installation study done in the parking lot, where I work.

Between 3 and 4000 m2 of shade.

Budget of around 850 €.

Currently the kWh costs us around 8 cts including tax.

The production covers "background noise", 21% of the annual consumption.

IS reduction.

After 6 years, you start to earn a little money. (From the start, month by month, we don't lose anything).

For information, how is the ripple on such powers: multiple small inverters or a mega inverter?

Absolutely not.

I also have an EDF study, but we are not the owner of the panels before 20 years, and more expensive of course.

But we have not yet started the negotiations, waiting for an agreement from the CEO to start the "real studies".
