Hay in the market garden tunnel

Tested this year, after reading Daniel's awesome book, the hay-based blanket instead of the straw I used earlier. Indeed, very satisfactory ... Except in the market gardening tunnel: the hay has been sparingly watered in winter and as soon as it is touched, to remove the bindweed which thrives or to sow, immediately coughing due to dust dry hay. It makes working in the greenhouse quite odious. What to do, what to do? If anyone has a solution, I'm interested! Thank you all ...
