Wall Panels ELASTOLITH and isolation?

by tigrou_838 » 23/09/15, 14:41

Hello everyone,

I'll have a little question for the insulation specialists

about flexible facing boards (ELASTOLITH) and its glue.

did it help the insulation of the support or they are stuck ?????

I know that they are quartz based and do not know this product.

thank you in advance.

Hi Tigger, that gas?

It all depends on the characteristics of the material ... (obviously lol)

The official website does not give much: http://www.elastolith.nl/fr/diy/caract%C3%A9ristiques/

Mix of sand and quartz + polymer binder ...

So in my opinion it is not worth much in thermal insulation ...

On the other hand in interior laying it can contribute to increase the inertia and thermal phase shift ...

But if you put a siding at home, as much do thermal insulation from the outside at the same time no?

I advise 8cm PIR type unilin (I asked in 2012): https://www.econologie.com/forums/isolation- ... 12195.html

ps: personal if a material manufacturer does not give me a full datasheet of features i will look elsewhere ...

Hi TOF, this foam.

and as you have seen on the site and not much of the feature on thermal insulation.
it's just to put down a wall where I have stagnant humidity, and I was wondering if it was also a little bit for thermal insulation.

not knowing sand + quartz + polymeric binder.

((otherwise at this time and this cold and wet weather, I have not made a fire in the stove yet, I always turn on the reserves of the floor heating balloons and 18 / 19 ° in the house)).

and when you want to drink a good Belgian beer at home and if you want to stay a night no problem, my son is at uni ... in Scotland.

A+

+ 1 with Christophe for the insignificance of insulation.

This product is so fine that I once saw a VW Beetle lined with briquettes on a fair stand (I do not know if it's them or a competitor)

Do not rely on a long outdoor life; it ended up taking off from what I could see right and left.

Do not count on it either to "give class" to his hut: we quickly see that it is fake!
