Jean-Marie Pelt died last night.

France loses a great name in ecology, precursor of many fields including urban ecology and author of many books, some of which have been advised on these forums...

I just saw that the Alliance for the Planet had also disappeared ... and for more than 3 years ...

Some explanations here: http://www.ecolopedia.fr/?p=3182

Times are hard for ecology ... :| :| :|

Le Monde article: http://www.lemonde.fr/disparitions/arti ... _3382.html

With a short video ...

JM Pelt was still very active for COP21 for example: http://www.lamontagne.fr/france-monde/a ... 80680.html

For the record, I tried to contact him in 2002 about water doping but I never managed to get him on the phone ...

I listened to it on Saturday on France Inter.

And I have read many of his books, really good.

We will miss him.

I liked him too!

I read the Earth in Heritage ... very good and very pragmatic!
