Placebo effect for or against?

“It's not what the patients think is going to happen, it's what the unconscious brain anticipates,
despite the absence of any conscious thought, which influences the result.

Yes, I think it was indeed a GOOD time to post this topic.

Although there is not much to be "for"Or"salary."a fact now established: the placebo effect has reserved for about five years that it has been re-studied, a set of surprises all greater than the others, and which go far beyond EVERYTHING that the it was thought until then ... since it initiates the production of caring molecules "self-healing" by the body, much better and in a much more complex way than any pharmaceutical industry would be able to to do so, with a considerable number of molecules available and in quantities far greater than anything the industry could ever produce.

And even the term placebo is no longer appropriate, it is truly a "spontaneous endogenous healing process" triggered (or not) based on the self-conviction of the subject concerned.

This is a finding that surprised the researchers themselves, as they weren't expecting it .... They thought the "placebo effect" was only due to some kind of blockage or denial of a cure or something. , and that taking a placebo treatment, could possibly succeed in disinhibiting ... Well no, our organism is really able to produce the ad hoc molecules and which are more targeted!

Thus a "good mental conditioning" in an idea of "doing something to cure" is itself vector of starting the process of cure and the production of said molecules, in as many targeted specialties as the pathology requires it - of less when it "works", ie between 30 to 60% of cases - why such a high success rate and not 30% as we believed until then? (From previous studies) Quite simply because if you take a medical prescription prescribed by a doctor, the placebo effect also works, just as much as if you take a homeopathic preparation (or what do I know in traditional medicine) and very clever who can say which of the active molecule or of the "spontaneous endogenous" healing process will win ...!

Report on the very serious RTS, exclusively from scientific sources:

Obviously that does not solve everything, the molecules of the drugs are still very useful, but we will have to review all the tests / studies that have been done so far to adapt them to this new situation.
I have some information on this, which was intended to be given to the "Dupont-Dupont troll", but he never answered and for good reason ... : Mrgreen: this is only part postponed, I will give them later ...

Good to have posted that Hic!

RTDC.

PS: and of course 100% "for" (necessarily). This goes for the use of homeopathy of course, even if it is not in the same yard.

it goes even further! some clinical trials have shown that even if the patient is informed that it is only a placebo, he does not believe in it and despite this little to see his condition improve? This is the peculiarity of faith: "only believe and you will be saved:"
But it is like all suggestions, as for hypnosis where some are sensitive to it and others refractory and it is not especially the "strong" minds that are the least influenced.
