Matra e-MO, French electric mob? Characteristics

We have known the electric scooter for a long time, the Li-Ion technology now allows to make an electric mob even if it's more a scoot than a mob but good :)

Matra announces a maximum power of 1200 Watts (1,6 ch) allowing this machine weighing 50 kg to roll at 45 km / h for a maximum of 40 kilometers.

Matra presents it as a scooter. At first glance, e-MO looks more like a moped, a descendant of the famous "mob" which, in the seventies, made the happiness of teens. One can even find him a certain resemblance with Piaggio Ciao. Be that as it may, the twenty-first century mob is "naturally" powered. Matra announces a maximum power of 1200 Watts (1,6 ch) allowing this machine weighing 50 kg to roll at 45 km / h for a maximum of 40 kilometers. The full recharge of the removable Lithium-ion battery is done at home in 2 hours, but in 90 minutes the battery is already recharged to 80%. Accessible from 14 years, the e-MO is a direct competitor of e-Solex. The Cyclo Matra is a little more powerful, a little faster and a more expensive. Sold 1790 €, with a user cost of only 50 cents per kilometer, the e-MO appears as a means of transport as economical as ecological. And Parisians will be delighted to learn that the City of Paris subsidizes its purchase up to 400 €. The Matra e-MO is guaranteed two years but it remains an unknown, the life of the battery. Because, separately, the object is charged 600 €.

only ??????
decidedly, the Figaro and I do not have the same values!
At this cost, I prefer a hybrid hummer

: Arrow: The design is very nice.
It has an air of déjà vu ... the Yamaha Passol and the BHM e-road sold especially in supermarkets.
If the BHM disappoints many users (but this is surmountable for good DIYers by a home upgrade), it's a safe bet that it will not be the same with the Matra.

To date Matra VAE is one of the best products on the market. 8)

yeah but WHO will buy a mob 1800 euros !!!!

when making the check, despite good intentions and convictions, everyone has the right questions:
why am I buying this thing?
and why not a thermal for about half the price?
with 900 euro, how much liter of SP95 I buy?
orthe! it's profitable after 20000kms!

I'm the devil's advocate (I have a scootelec) but the problem is the price. and do not come and tell me it's the price of batteries! it's not just the price of batteries.

They also do another on the Matra site, the MS1. In the front wheel is included a second battery pack.
This bothers me because it increases unsprung masses. Well it rolls at 45 km / h but it increases the gyroscopic effects of the wheel and degrades handling.
Otherwise I think they should also apply an ecological bonus with bonus / malus 2 wheels and that by categories.
So in the 50cc with penalty on the 2T and 4T consuming too much and a bonus on the electric bringing them back to the price of a thermal scooter.
Up to 125 cc ditto, 2T and 4T malus consuming too much and bonus for others.
Finally in large cubes like this, it would revive a little market 400 or 500cc because for most uses it is appropriate.

we are not talking about the same thing. the matra machine is rather similar to peugeot ludix (for example) which is sold between 1000 and 1300 euros

Well, you're talking about mob prices, I'm talking about mob prices so if it's the same thing!

And I do not know many teenagers who have to do more than 40 km a day to go to high school or college.

It does not prevent it is still expensive paid ... but look at the price of electric bikes complete: it also starts at 1800 €!

More to choose between the mob and the bike, I take the bike because it is "lowaccu-proof"! Image

sorry to insist

compare to equivalent category

2500 to 3000 is the category above. for example the elystar of Peugeot (2300 euros) yet, it is also an 50cc.

it's still not the same as the ludix

a clio and a megane, it's not the same

Let's not turn around the muffler (exhaust of course), for the performance it presents, the e-Mo is obviously (too) expensive! Same "problem" as for the e-Miev ...

I just wanted to say that 1800 €, a lot of mobeux could pay ... or rather get paid!
