Why thermal cars bother me....

Yesterday, on returning from "the old people", 2 thermal cars were racing between them....

Guys unaware, ready for anything, like doubling without real vis-à-vis their ability, solid white line, and when you can really double, they are in front of you, and you don't double, because their acceleration is not on top ... you can follow without pb, and largely exceed them if there were three lanes, but these thermals block me, respecting the highway code ....

Hello,

It is logical given the proportion of thermal cars, that there are more who make the fools. but given the accelerations displayed in the catalog of EVs, I would be surprised if there weren't any who tried..., quietly.

Fairly ok, assholes racing on the open road I think has always existed, and I don't really see why the gradual switch to electric would change anything about it.
Unless the EV makes the assholes smarter or at least less stupid? There it would really be a notable progress to put to his credit!

(car with trailer barely traveling at 150 km /h).
All in "eco" mode, not even normal, not even sport .... There are quite enough in eco mode ...

VE or thermal is the same thing, it all depends on the power available since the gearboxes are staged to do this!

I have a 6S V24, 194 hp, and I can tell you that when accelerating, it's cat pee, compared to an VE, which has maximum torque from the first revolution per minute.

My ion, which is 65 hp, easily appears as well over 100 ...

So imagine, with more than 200hp in electric, it's a bit as if it were not far from 400hp, over a few seconds, compared to a VT.

I have a colleague who has a mustang, around 450 hp, and drives an e-niro as well.

For him, the acceleration is practically the same, but with a faster "take-off" of the VE, but quickly overtaken by the mustang...

E-niro and kona identical in platform. Kona, good car, but not a racing beast either, the 0 to 100, is around 6.5-7s ....

Manufacturers to adapt, moreover they do, some dragging their feet a bit.
But it is neither Peugeot (Stellantis) nor Renault to decide what the French car fleet might look like in 20 years (average duration of a car from its marketing to its scrapping, excluding accidents). Their job is to build according to the general orientations decided.
