6000 billion to implement electric vehicles

by izentrop » 07/11/18, 08:05

According to a Goldman Sachs study cited in Bloomberg, the global transition to a fleet of 100% electric vehicles would cost about 6 000 billion, or nearly 8% of global GDP. These costs would be shared almost equally between the shippers themselves and the necessary reinforcement of the electricity grid. These enormous costs can only be spread over a long period of time, which will inevitably slow down the pace of adoption of EVs.
