Has France become a country of organized professional fraud?

by Christophe » 04/07/22, 18:19

When you create a company in France, for a few years (at least), you receive a few (tens of?) letters asking you to pay for your VAT registration or other registration in the commercial registers or other bullshit or directories... even a more or less up-to-date listing in the Commercial Courts... But that does not prevent it from continuing visibly, a shame!

Everything, absolutely all, these letters are scams...

Scams apparently well organized but above all well tolerated because the sending companies and the IBAN accounts are in France...

Since fraudsters go unpunished, why would they stop?

Professional fraud has become a real serene business in Macron's country... : Evil: Must say that they know how to lead by example up there!

Even the banks are starting to communicate on the subject, here is an example of a mailing and an information page: https://www.banquepopulaire.fr/nord/vot ... /securite/

I therefore propose a new motto:

Freedom, inequality, fraud!

It's not new either...

But it happens more and more.

Part of the fraud will be able to be avoided with EDI.

You send a "digital" order to the supplier.

He sends you the goods with your order number and a digital slip, and his digital invoice, traced with VAT...

And you pay him...
It's a party.

There are also suppliers who actually send you the goods, without any request from them, and present their invoice ....

But in some cases, we play the game, and we call the police....

I did not say that the fraud was new but precisely that there were more and more of them and in an unpunished way...

Ah yes for a few weeks I also receive scams by SMS by fake health insurance (very serious that), Amazon or others...

All this on a French number with numbers not hidden... but as you don't care... well the thugs continue...

No, just to say, in June I made 2 reports.

1 where I filed a complaint online, for a scam on the right corner, but no harm to me, and yet I baited ... or the guy got caught ... but no news for me ...

1 email from the post office, super suspicious...I called the post office, and it's a scam...

Saturday, a friend calls me,
For 1.95€ you can have 200L of fuel, made for your children....(TOTAL), and he sends a link to my wife..

False page TOTAL...

In these cases, it is better to look at the official site, or type on google or other "total 200 scam", and you are set immediately ....
And me to call the friend back so that he blocks his credit card right away...

I repeat, this is nothing new.

This is the number that exploded, with people having had a lot of time to think, when you're stuck at home...

I was at work, and no telework, it was "forbidden" to me....

And when you think about it a little, there are tons of things that can be done very simply .... without investment.

That's what I want to point out here:

If there are more scams, it's because there are more victims...it works both ways: without neuneus or with strong penalties (adverse benefit/risk) the scammers get discouraged...

So there is a problem of dishonesty, bullshit and growing impunity...

OK, did I sum it up correctly?

This is a visible part of the problem, but, unfortunately, does not take into account the rest ....
