They are called "whistleblowers". Their common point: to speak up when others are silent.
Men and women who one day take the risk of sacrificing their career, their comfort, their private life, to denounce what they feel is unfair in their work. And who suffer the consequences. Four portraits illustrate these "indignant" who take action:
- Sihem Souid is a police officer. She denounced the harassment at work suffered by some police officers. Layoff for 6 months.
- Jean-Luc Touly, employee of a multinational water company explains to local elected officials how to lower the price of water in their towns. He was dismissed, then reinstated by legal process. He is "in the closet" today.
- Suzane de Bégon, ex-entrepreneur, ruined today, is at the origin of the denunciation of a medical scandal: the sterilization of baby bottles with ethylene oxide.
- Irène Frachon, symbol of whistleblowers. She succeeded in having the Mediator banned and is now in charge of helping victims of this drug.
