Leroy merlin Sterwins pbc1-26L brushcutter launcher failure

And if they were repairing rather than throwing and change? Rediscover the pleasure of the repairs yourself. How to diagnose a problem or find spare parts? Repair itself is way to save money generally!

Leroy merlin Sterwins pbc1-26L brushcutter launcher failure

by phil59 » 02/07/22, 21:27

Well, I know, it's not a wonder....

The launcher broke, impossible to put back in place without it getting out of the way, the plastoc, it's not fantastic for that...

But, I found on ali, a compatible, not listed as, but as he looked like a (twin) brother, I tried...

And it goes well ... until it breaks, because it's not better than the original, "also worse" ....

I forgot, received in about 10 days.

As a brushcutter, with heavy use, we must forget.

But as an edger on a large lot, and a little more, it's not bad, for the price.

Hello
I reactivate this thread asking if there is a video to make the change, or if it is so simple that we can do without it?

If it's just changing the launcher, you take it apart and put the new one in place. (not very complex, 3 or 4 screws)

If it's the spring to put back, you need a little patience
and explode your fingers/hands to block the turns at each turn. (more complex, boring, but it can be done)
With a little luck, there are some tips videos that will help you avoid too much hassle.

Thought personal, I understand better why the big bosses invented the golden parachute.

I have this mower bought second hand (well the same one, these are not my photos https://mototracteurs.forumactif.com/t5 ... ofaucheuse). I repaired several times the launcher which was farting during a backfire.
Since I use a string wound on the pulley that you see in the second image, it always starts on the second launch, even after 2 years without turning. You still need to have the pulley that fits well : Wink: .

Hello
Thank you for the answers, even if the history of Romanian completely escapes me, in the 1st as in the 2nd degree
Otherwise I deduce that the change is very simple since no video available, so I will try, even if it means being more careful when starting up so as not to change it every 15 days
I post photos if I'm in trouble
