Hello,
I have a ROTEX Sanicube R3 installation since 2009 and which has worked without problems.
For a few months I have had a slight leak on a cap indicated by a red arrow on the attached photo.
Could someone tell me:
- what is this plug for?
- how is it attached to the ball?
- is it possible to easily repair this leak (it seems that a special key is needed ???)
Thank you for your availability
Patrice

Re: ROTEX Sanicube R3
It looks like a plug to connect a hot water circuit other than that of domestic hot water. For central heating, perhaps?

Re: ROTEX Sanicube R3
Without any guarantee, it seems to be a connection for the installation of two tanks in parallel, see page 17 of:

Re: ROTEX Sanicube R3
In any case, they are indeed sockets for the serial or parallel setting of two balloons.
The top outlet also serves as an overflow by connecting it to a drain pipe.
The leak comes from improperly tightening the outlet (the black part on which the cap is screwed) on the balloon.
It is necessary to tighten.
The easiest way is to make a tightening tool with a chevron drop of 5 to 6 cm in section and 10 cm long and 4 points whose heads can fit in the holes present on the part to be tightened.
Sincerely,
Claude
