hello here I have for a few days a bp with my old pallet truck which no longer wants to lift anything,
It happened when I raised my arms fully and after I got off nothing : Evil:
the transpal and manual and brand satan
someone has already had this kind of pb and can he tell me what to check before disassembling everything knowing that I have no doc
of the beast

ps on the sole which carries the cylinder and the manual pump there are three large screws one on each side of the plate
thank you lionel

Check the oil level already.
After a classic breakdown on the manual pallet truck, the pull chain activates the descent which remains (a little) actuated, suddenly the descent valve remains slightly open: the pallet truck no longer goes up.
Otherwise well, sorry, we had to open everything ...

thank you forhorse
for the oil level I opened a rubber stopper
on the cylinder itself and I do not see oil so there will be a level bp because I think the oil should be just flush with the hole (I assume that the top of the cylinder serves as a reserve of oil)
By cons I put what as oil in it because it must be specific no :?:
please
lionel

Going to the end of the stroke may have emptied the cylinder and the oil must be in the oil tank and if this is the case, you must re-prime the cylinder, bringing the oil back from the tank, as on a classic oil jack, which I know better ???????

I had the same problem with old jack which contained the old oil completely rotten ... I hope that on your pallet truck there is a drain plug ... for the jack there was none, I just put it in the direction where it empties the oil through the filler cap, and fill up with engine oil

engine oil is not the best because it is too viscous especially when it is cold: hydraulic oil for peelers is better ... but for a first repair engine oil is enough

At the end of a jack's stroke, it leaks more, the piston has no more force, and we can lose the oil to the oil reserve, even if still acceptable, and therefore we must recover the oil and ride up.
If no oil has been lost outside, it is in the reserve.

thank you but in my case I think that the oil reserve is in the cylinder itself since the overflow is on this one, in fact it looks like a bottle jack once the
built
I'm going to take a picture of the beast so that you can see what comes out of it : Cheesy:
thanks again for the replies

The reserve is in the jack, yes, the jack pumps in to lift, but by dismantling, paying attention to the joints, we understand and we reboot, avoiding after going too far at the end of the race.

It is necessary to fill by the small cahoutchou stopper on the side of the cylinder bottle which is the reservoir, with the cylinder completely at the bottom you filled up to the edge of the hole.

If it does not lift at all either the lowering valve remains open or the pump piston seal is damaged.

In the absence of hydraulic oil, power steering oil does the job very well and it is much easier to find for an individual.
