Hello,
I am thinking about my terrace project and I want to choose the maritime pine.

What type of treatment do you recommend to protect blades of this type?

Thank you in advance for your opinion. :-)

Larch is great for the outdoors too, but you have to find some

It's better but it's still spam to a commercial site for a first message ...

@Christophe: OK, that was not my goal at all ...

@elephant: yes larch is rare apparently. I found that the maritime pine was 1 good alternative from a quality / price point of view

For those interested, I know the address of a small sawmill on the East of France, which saw mainly larch, acacia and Douglas ...

I have no interest in this company, which I only know as a reference for the construction of "mini-greenhouses", flower boxes, etc ...

Ask me by "mp".

Yes didi!

I already bought wood directly sawmill: unbeatable price ... in my case it was larch boards (slightly pink wood) 2.4 cm thick, 25 cm wide and 2 m length. Not planed so rough sawmill.

It was to make an interior cladding that I wanted "raw" for more character.

Each board cost 2.5 € ... either 210 € the m3 or 5 € / m² ...

Only drawback: it had just been cut, so impossible pose before a good drying and find a sawmill that sells directly to individuals (not obvious everywhere).

Obviously no treatment had been done.
