Fires: not more numerous in Europe today than yesterday
The fires in Greece were instrumentalized by climate-warming propaganda, when it was the negligence of the Greek public authorities that was at the origin: only 14.000 firefighters with an average age> 45 years, dilapidated equipment (lances water holes, trucks more than ten years old), 74 bombers and helicopters of which only twenty can fly at the same time, forestry services also lacking resources for fire prevention.
The fires in Europe have not increased, they have even decreased, even if it is with a significant annual variation.
This very comprehensive European study from the period 1980-2019 attests to it:

Question on the fly: would the possible deforestation in these areas significantly impact these volumes?

In Europe maybe except that the planet is not Europe ...
Your stats are 2 years behind and are not global ...
The Australian mega fires of late 2019 early 2020 date from just before COVID which made us forget the basics ... as they were mastered in 2020 they were probably not counted on 2019 (anyway your limiting stats, like your mind, would not have them account)...

Your manipulative stats don't smell good: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feux_de_b ... _Australie
As of January 14, 2020, reports show approximately 18,6 million hectares (186 km000) burned, 5 buildings destroyed (including 900 homes) and at least 2 dead. ... In addition, at least 779 people are killed by smoke inhalations, and some 34 are hospitalized.
So we are waiting for your global stats please. Thank you !
ps: not understood the distinction 34 deaths and 445 deaths ???

It's just that in the same places, it can't burn out every year ... Blédina is still drowning in her mush.

Re: Fires: not more numerous in Europe today than yesterday
Overall there is less fire (-24%) than 20 years ago in France ... This results from the fact that a forest cannot burn every year (as mentioned by Guy) on the one hand and that we have a better capacity to fight against fires (in particular in terms of detection and speed of treatment of the outbreaks of fires).
Globally, the situation is more delicate. There is a clear upward trend in many regions: Siberia, Canada, Australia, which must also be put into perspective with massive deforestation in particularly tropical regions (as a reminder a forest that no longer exists cannot burn!)
