Japan: map of the catastrophe of March 11 and graphics

by Christophe » 16/03/11, 12:23

Map of northern Japan following the March 11 earthquake, includes all types of impacts. This is a low definition preview, click on it for HD in .pdf:

I "lost" the source but I believe it was on the world site! I can't find ...

If you have other infographics, I suggest that we pool them here (cite the source, not like me ...)

If you have high resolution images and not to limit the resolution with the automatic resizing, do like me: use a .pdf and if possible do a preview!

Here is an animation of the evolution at Fukushima: https://www.econologie.info/share/partag ... _suite.swf

Forget that around 500 to 1000mSv, we tan (even at night like fishermen near Chernobyl) and that our resistance is variable depending on the individual.
200mSv is approximately the exposure over a life of 100 years, or 1/5 to 1/10 of the dose which begins to make people very sick !!

So natural radioactivity is not negligible at all, and we resist because our cells repair DNA cuts for the most part !!
Otherwise natural radioactivity would kill us much faster !!!
