Filling boiler HS France innova 30

by boomcox » 11/11/22, 10:43

Hello,

I am installing an HS France innova 30 boiler with a 1500 liter buffer tank, coupled in series to a gas boiler.
To date, I am connecting the wood boiler, hence my question: can I fill this boiler (and the buffer tank) by emptying it?

Thank you for your comeback.

Good weekend

1500L, it must be a beautiful beast, mine of 500 is already impressive.

The balloon, from the bottom, or the top, it doesn't matter, but don't forget to let the air escape, but it will probably be better, and easier to fill it from the top, and have you provided a sufficient balloon? big for your 1500L? On the ground, will the over 1.5T be well supported?

Filling a boiler by emptying, for sure it is practical. I brought a water supply to the boiler stove also, above all, that there is a safety valve, which must be able to drain the circuit if it rises too high in tp, and fill at the same time.

MY safety valve has already worked several times, although I only have 7.5 kW in the water, and a lot of radiator, especially at the beginning, now I control the beast a little better....

Do you do it by thermo siphon, or do you have a water circulator for the wood boiler?

For the balloon, a purger is provided on the top, there will be one on the circuit as well.
There is a circulator between the tank and the boiler.

The valve you are talking about does not fill the boiler but just passes water through a coil to cool it.

Does anyone know I can fill through the drain?

Good night

No contraindication to fill by emptying…it is even recommended!

A hydraulic circuit normally fills at the lowest point to expel the air from the top as it goes along and avoid the phenomena of trapped air in certain loops...

If you have a circulator, what have you planned in case of more juice?

On all wood boilers there is (normally) a safety group which injects cold water into the boiler in the event of overheating...

This is why, a little higher in the posts, I asked the question of water supply to the wood boiler, to empty .... and fill, but the answer was a "coil" ....

And there is risk.

Especially a boiler, it will push between 30 and 100 kW on occasion, for a short time.

THE combustion engine, normal.

THE boiler, no.

And there's not necessarily an origin, it's all to add.

Me, I added , because not on my stove.

There is no risk of explosion because in the worst case it is the general safety group, calibrated at around 3 bars, which opens...

On the other hand, there is a risk of fire if the wood boiler overheats a lot... and is in contact with flammable materials...

There is also a risk of burns with jets of steam...

But hey... putting the circulator on an inverter with an autonomy of 10 to 12 hours can be a good idea...

12 p.m. is fire time, not breakdown time! : Mrgreen:

3 Bars evacuate when it will go up to 10-15 probably.

A UPS, as I put, it's a 160 kVA, is enough, and if it lasts 2 hours, it's not bad, most of the heat is evacuated.
You do not make fittings in 16, with a wood boiler .... in the 30 at least.

A wood boiler does not heat for a long time, but intensely, which is why, I think, he took a 1500L tank.
