Hello,
I am installing an Atlantic naema 35 gas boiler. I placed the connection strip, but when I wanted to remove the plugs... the boiler is full of water on the heating circuit.
Is that just water? (it looks like it!!)
Do I have to empty it to install it?
Thank you for your help.
Good Sunday

Um, I'm not sure I understand correctly?
You mean that the boiler was not empty on delivery?
I think at the factory they do a final leak test...but normally it's supposed to be emptied for transport...
I don't think it's a big deal, purge it or keep it when you fill up... (in your place I would keep it because there may be an additive in it like anti-oxygen?)
ps: better water in the heating circuit than in the gas circuit (water in the gas...ah ah ah...I'm going out...)

Yes, it is brand new. There are two plastic caps on the water inlet and outlet of the heating circuit and it's full inside!!
I looked at the installation manual, they don't say anything.
I'm going to empty it and recover this liquid and try to put it back afterwards.
Thanks for your help.

Better water than air to avoid oxidation.

If there was water before, unless it was dried before, properly, that air may accelerate the "rust"...

Re: Water in new gas boiler Atlantic naema 35
Reading you, I deduce that water is present for storage. I'm going to empty it and put it on its stand.
I start with another question: I calculated the volume of the installation (about 210 liters), it makes a vase of 15/18 liters. This boiler has one but only 8 liters. In the document it is indicated that the installation can make up to 270 liters… so it works. But why on the one hand do we say that you need a vase of about fifteen liters, on the other 8 liters is enough?
If you can enlighten me?
Thank you for your comeback.

Are you sure you have 270 liters?
I had calculated at the time, that I had 160 liters in total, approximately, with 27 radiators ...
Since I added a buffer tank, a hydro stove, etc ... And I have several balloons ....

in fact my installation has a volume of about 200 liters. I measured it with buckets. The installation must have 15 cast iron radiators from the 70s. It is on the documentation for the boiler that it is indicated maximum volume 270 liters.
But what I don't understand is that with the calculation formulas, I arrive at a balloon of about 15 liters. Why such a difference?
If you have an explanation, I'm a taker.
Good night

Re: Water in new gas boiler Atlantic naema 35
Indeed it takes 1/10 of the hydraulic volume in vase volume...
Error in the manual or price saving policy...an 8L balloon costs (a little) less than a 25L...or the engineers assumed that there was already another vase in the tank. facility ?
