Hello,
I'm going to double my walls and don't know what to choose between the two solutions in my title
to know; which is the most reliable over time (I heard that after a while the glass wool fell back down)

thank you for enlightening my lantern

If it is well protected, no. When we pierce walls with glass wool, it always seems to be in place.
On the other hand, I had a client who complained of throat irritations because he had covered the rock wool with a simple paneling and according to him glass wool dust passed between the slats.
In some houses I saw a plastic screen between the glass wool and the placo.

0 my opinion you did not understand my question
I didn't ask what a rock wool doctor thinks, but
what to use between glass wool or polystyrene-lined placo

sorry, your question was not clear to me then, and when I read it again I still understand the same thing, namely that you want to double a wall with a Placo + glass wool complex or a placo + polystyrene complex.
I gave you the information in my possession that we will not give you in store, we can still say that glass wool is more sound absorbing.
If the 2 products are found, it is because they have their advantages and disadvantages, each customer will have different criteria and will choose accordingly.
So it's your choice, and it wouldn't come to my mind to tell you what to do.

There is semi rigid glass wool

the placo / polistirene complex is very economical in installation cost compared to a lacolaine complex that must be coated with glue beforehand ... And even more economical than a plate system on metal frame with semi rigid insulation behind ... it already depends on the material on which you want to put your insulating complex .... stones, concrete walls ????

Hi, pay attention to the permeability to water vapor, after this will be the method of installation, the fire, the thermal resistance for the same thickness, the presence of mice (nest in the glass wool) who will say what is the best for you (forget the price). So have you thought about the insulation from the outside? It is in many cases better with an equivalent surface because it treats a lot of thermal bridges (cross wall, intermediate slab, roller shutter box, etc.)
