as promised, I create this thread for this famous stove, beware, this is not the boiler.

the principle is simple in a thick steel tank, a fuel is poured.

the tank being heated to high temperature, the oil vaporizes.

in the axis of this tank, there is a tube which blows air towards the edges of the tank.

the air pressure is very low, I would speak more flow here ...

for the air I got a blower from a low pressure paint gun, then adapted a dimmer (for light) to adjust the air supply.

everything is recovered, an old wood stove (good dirty rind)

I put the equipment around the stove for the forum otherwise it's stashed behind the wall, debarra.

I have trouble visualizing, wouldn't you have a photo explaining the assembly of the tank in relation to the air intake?

to start the stove, it takes 3 minutes:

1 ° put a light fuel with a wicking paper, ignite the paper and close the pan.

2 ° start ventilation

3 ° open the oil valve at the marks made in the previous tests.

4 ° warm up looool

that's all.

for me the future improvement will be a variable displacement pump for the oil supply and a small control box (o case or)

but pfff it's working

it is better to put the oil tank in a location where the temperature is fairly constant, especially not like the photos eh mdr !!!

yes, its turbine whistles, but has resonable dimensions, it makes little noise, after if we pulse fully with a large flow !!! I made my pan fry !! in short

I was wondering if a chainsaw oil pump would do the trick. (coupled with a variable speed electric motor ...)
But I don't know what these pumps look like ...

I think the best would be a car oil pump, like its the people who burn oil loaded would not be annoyed ..

there are many spare parts for oil stoves
can be useful in your realization, it is true that it is expensive
but hey we do lots of discoveries the day before picking up bulky items

Hi boulle, thanks for this topic , nice stove;), you even managed to melt the deflector a lot;) ....

it makes a kind of sculpture;) ... you tried to put a piece of refractory brick instead for example story of having a piece mounted in red which would end up burning the hypothetical unburnt (just look at the part stove top and the condition of the casing to find out if there are any;)) ...

Then I see a nice slit above the door so a non-tightness, if there are unburned it can be dangerous, but hey I imagine your manufacturing is temporary right?

if not a blow of refractory mastic could be not bad, see a more mastic fiber joint, just history to be on ...;)

Small detail by seeing the videos, personally I would have gone on a rotation of the air in the tank, so a tank on the basis of tube of 150 mm in diameter for example, in addition to mad max I really like the vortexes ;) ...
