Bioclimatic veranda

by antoinet111 » 23/05/12, 17:16

Hello my friends, I am making the plans for a Bio-climatic veranda to pose at home, I intend to do it in wood and triple glazing, I am looking for the best and simplest way to include the glazing in a frame in Wood without forgetting the deformation due to heat and aging (therefore not too rigid).

would you have an idea or a diagram.

Goods.

I vote for the writing of concrete post and practicality.
Down the talkers and ceiling fans!

Hello.
Mine is grafted onto my old house.
9.5m * 3m.
It heats powerful.
Double glazing. Full south clear. All aluminum.

Very important to plan the opening to the maximum.
The problem with triple glazing is the weight for the rails and the price.
My structure is not at thermal break.

What a pleasure the winter napping in the hammock in briefs without heating.
In summer the sun passes over it. But in mid season it heats up a little too much.
On the ceiling it is glass wool plasterboard: to resume because the flashing is cut and has taken water. : Cry:

My 9.5m are divided into two parts.
Between 2 and 3m high it is only fixed panels.
To the left
It is a triple bay: triple rail. Overlooking the terrace.
With triple glazing: hello the width of the rail.

To the right
Triple bay window: same, but not at ground level: there is a void behind.
Under the window 3 fixed panels.

On the far right (the right : Mrgreen: ) it is the door which descends to the level of the courtyard. Equipped with a hydraulic groom.

In the end it is opening over the entire width.

Despite many isolation problems.
The gain on the heating of the house is immense.
It is a magnificent thermal buffer.
This winter with a record outside at -26 ° ° my probe measured + 1 ° at minimum without heating.
The room is equipped with a stove in case (evenings + keep warm after a day of sun ...)

For the price.
I had a quote made by a corner box in francs at the time (10 years ago) when I bought the house. By having them put a bay to the west to close the room that overlooks the road (aluminum-double glazing with sound system there: 5m wide * high between 3 and 4.5m: slope)
I simply told the salesperson to update the quote in € with cash payment. In front of the secretary he asked to bring out the quote and put in €: since I knew the price and that we had already arranged in cash.
I got away with it for 6000 €
