Destroy my fireplace to put a steel pipe?

by dodo » 21/03/12, 21:52

Topic divided since: https://www.econologie.com/forums/que-penser ... 10032.html

Philippe Schutt wrote:If you break everything and replaced by a stainless steel tube, it must be double-walled insulated type and meet the criteria of distance to combustible materials and T ° surface.

The biafeu or other insulation system must have a Technical Notice. easy to check, they are accessible via the internet. The safety distance can be reduced, but there is one.

I have just been offered a proposal to demolish the chimney flue from the 1er floor and replace this part with an insulated duct with an elbow to avoid the beam.
the rest of the duct it the tube with simple, and it opens the conduit to the basement to put the hatch of sweeping and the recuperator of water.

the bill is quite heavy 5000 150 for a pipe in 80, if a cheek I decide to pellet it will be changed everything for XNUMX.

Not bad answer: 1 year delay exactly : Cheesy:

if a cheek I decide to pellet it will be changed everything for 80.

Anything, another craftsman who does not care about the world?

The opposite would be true but a pellet stove can easily connect to a larger fireplace ...

Even some do not need a chimney, just a suction cup, considering the burned gas circulators and automatic air intake.

If you do it yourself, it's not rocket science and you get it for less than 1500 € safe, probably in the 1000 €.

Listen, the pro P schutt, some quotes are inflated by a factor 2 compared to his own, (see on econology) in addition to the work not negligible in time, especially with errors that force everything to redo sometimes! !.

yes I dropped a little because I did not see too much solution.

in fact we make it clear that putting a pellet stove on a casing of 150 I have problems of casing.

the company that came down noted all the noncompliance of my leads.

he even noted that in the basement the placo of the ceiling did not respect the fire spread.

unfortunately with my health concerns I could not go on the roof to disassemble the chimney or set up the casing.

I have a chimney sweeper who told me that if I tubed with a tube of 80 in the chimney I would be good for the gap at the lights.

yes, I put casings.

do not pipe in 80, this is a common cause of device error signal. 100 at least.
