Bonjour,
I am looking for a comparative table on pellets, wood, fuel and gas. Because I would like to make a comparison at the price level and the number of KWh issued for an equal amount.
thanks.
Comparative table wood heating, oil, gas and pellets?

Hello,leboncaramel wrote:Bonjour,
I'm sorry, I don't have that kind of comparison, but I'm (naively) wondering what you call "equal quantity"leboncaramel wrote:I am looking for a comparative table on pellets, wood, fuel and gas. Is it mass, volume, or something else
It seems to me that it would be more interesting to compare the price for the same number of kWh

I thought to compare for 1 kilo and 1 liter but it's true that now that you make me notice, I think it would be better to compare according to kwh or price
I find the answer:
1 liter of oil equals 10Kwh for 0.8832 € / l
1 liter of gas equals 11Kwh for 0.6890 € / l
1 kilo pellet equals 4.5-5Kwh for 0.3 € / kg
1 kilo of wood equals 4Kwh for 0.079 € / kg
here is the table according to the quantity but in fact it does not help me much .. I will convert all this
Thank you

it's not just the price
the wood in the log is cheaper but not everyone wants to cut it, carry ... with the pelet it's as automatic as fuel
We forget here the woodblock, much cheaper than the pelet, and also automatic feeding: only disadvantage more cumbersome than the pelet ... easy advantage to do yourself by grinding small woods that nobody uses
incomprehensible: in small size ca lack of boiler plate, but the industrial scale there is all it takes ... I find it a shame not to leave the pelet for small heating

And why does the Awirs plant use pellets then?

2 kilo pellet at 0.6 € = 10 KWh
2.5 Kilo of wood (beech) to 0.1975 € = 10 KWh
This system allows automation, simply (and also the temperature regulation)
for domestic use, this aspect can be circumvented by the use of a wood boiler with sufficient storage to provide heating for a day minimum.
typical example: reverse combustion wood boiler and 3000L buffer tank
advantages: low cost of purchase and low consumption, can be arranged outdoors near storage, multi fuel (in some cases), minimal maintenance and low energy consumption.
disadvantages: a weekly recharge.

I vote for the writing of concrete post and practicality.
