Hello everybody
I walk this forum for a long time and I decided to post my project to you so that you can help me.
I am building my house and I want to think better about my heating system. I also want it not to cost me very dear. My house will be well insulated (almost BBC standard I think). So it bothered me to put the € 20 for geothermal energy + underfloor heating that my heating contractor offered me ...
I will opt for:
- a heated floor
- an electric boiler (which I will one day be able to upgrade)
- a log stove in which I want to circulate water (as described on this forum with the installation of TIGROU
- solar panels made by me
I would invest in a hot water tank with a coil.
The stove and the solar panels would heat a water reserve of 1000 liters (cubis isolated) and this cubis would be used to preheat the water of the hot water tank (and also to heat it via the coil of the tank) and to heat the floor heating water.
Is it viable?
Do you have a diagram to suggest to me and regulations to direct me to?

Electric boiler reaction !!
Absurd, unnecessarily expensive !!
In addition your ECD diagnosis takes a blow losses multiplied by 2,58 !! house going from A to F
So especially the least electric which in addition to CO2 also multiplies nuclear power plants and their lifetime waste by 30000 years !!
Boiler or stove or insert for pellets or even mixed pellets and logs, and if you want some electric heaters blowing extra at € 20 each will do as well as your electric boiler !!!!!
and above all being removable, invisible, your DPE will be heated with wood and not taxed by a penalty factor of 2,58 multiplicative on your consumption in KWh applied for all electric heating !!!

Insulated in quasi BBC, you only need a little, stove or insert or boiler or stove of mass, mixed with pellets and logs (much cheaper) and some removable electric fan heaters in case of breakdown.
In a less isolated secondary house of 20 years, I use this method, blowing electric for half an hour before the chimney with insert starts and sends hot air in the ducts everywhere (much cheaper than a floor).
Avoid heat pumps (even with the term geothermal), electric boiler and other scams that abound !!
Your house can be heated by solar thermal panels in winter, or even later by a well-designed Canadian well where we store the heat of summer from solar thermal panels to heat with in winter !! see the pinnacle of the unknown Canadian well in France without any heat pump without the slightest CO2 in perpetuity:

In rare emergency backup, no need for an electric boiler, simple radiators are enough, blowing at 10 to 20 €, for 10 times cheaper !!
In addition hidden, mobile, they will not destroy your DPE during a resale by multiplying the real consumption by 2,58 to give that of reference in the DPE, by destroying all your investment in insulation for resale in this diagnostic thermal !!!
So especially nothing fixed electric if it is a rare backup backup !!

So I'm going to leave on a heated floor which will be powered by a buffer tank which will be powered by the wood stove, and by solar panels.
I will have extra small radiators in case there is no sun or wood in the stove ...
Three questions:
- How to properly size the solar panels? What size ? (knowing that it will be self-construction
- What size for the buffer tank?
- Does anyone have a diagram for the assembly and regulation of this kind of installation?

You have to have an idea of the thermal losses of the house which can be very well insulated because built from scratch !!
It is possible to eliminate any CO2 emission with this type of Canadian system 30 years ahead of our standards, but which will prevail sooner or later, which uses the thermal heat of the summer sun stored for the winter.
The fewer losses the easier it is.

In France nobody seems to have understood that it is possible by respecting the laws of physics with a well-designed Canadian well and drilling for the price of drilling from 90 to 120m in total depth.
It all depends in which region you are (sun) and the heat losses of the house.
But still today, as in the past with all electric and little insulation, we make a lot of errors, intended to be corrected in the future.
It is therefore very difficult not to do it.
